This God of Ours {FMF: Meet}

There’s no place I can go that Your love won’t find me.
No place I can hide that You don’t see.
No place I could fall that Your love wouldn’t catch me.
You see it all, You see it all, from the eyes of love.
(Lyrics from “You Don’t Miss A Thing” by Bethel Music.)

I stand in awe of this God of ours who meets us where we are. With faithfulness, with a longing to draw us close, He moves heaven and earth to be by our side.

When we are low, He bends to meet us.
When we are high, He rises with us.
In the valley, He is our shelter.
In the storm, He is our anchor.

There’s no place I can go that Your love won’t find me.
No place I can hide that You don’t see.
When I’m misunderstood Your love understands me.
You see it all, You see it all, You’re in everything.

This God of ours meets us where we are.
Without judgement.
Free of condemnation.
With grace upon grace, His righteousness is upon us.
By His blood, He has set us free.

He weeps when we weep.
He rejoices in our delight.
He pursues the desires of our heart.
He sees, He knows, and He loves us beyond comprehension.

This God of ours who lowered Himself from the Highest of places to meet us where we need Him most. The former meets the future and God writes His story over our lives with a perfection that is second to none.

Come and see me. Come and know me.
Come and search my heart and make me like you.
Come and see me. Come and know me.
Come and search my heart and make me new.

fmf meet

This God of ours meets us right where we are.
He doesn’t miss a thing.
He is all-encompassing, utterly consuming, and His unbelievably generous desire is to render us more like Him.

I stand in awe that I am His.
Hands lifted high, I praise Him for He belongs to me.
This God of mine meets me and He makes me new.

This song – THIS SONG! If you can listen to it without closing your eyes and lifting your hands, you might want to check your pulse. I haven’t made it through once without a knot in my throat and a sting in my eyes. Will you be still for a few minutes and allow yourself to be ushered into His throneroom? Right here, right now, simply worship the God Who in His incredible glory and infinite wisdom does not miss a thing.

  1. I am going to listen to the song tonight when I have some quieter time!! Love your post and your encouragement. “He moves heaven and earth to be by our side.” Awesome thought. For some reason, your posts have not been showing up on my reader. But I re-followed your blog today. Blessings!

    1. It’s a great song, isn’t it! So grateful that God is willing to go to the ends of the earth the be with us. Thanks for following…weird that I’m not in the reader, but so glad you stopped by. I always love hearing from you, friend.

  2. I was just listening to this yesterday! Lifting my hands with you, sister! His presence is so thick in here right now. :) Blessings to you this weekend! Your FMF friend, Tasha

  3. Tiffany, what a beautiful post! I love that God knows us so intimately and meets us where we are—in every part of our lives, without condemnation but with much love. You said it so well. I’m off to listen to the song now.

    1. You’ll love the song, Jeanne! So true…He does know us through and through and I stand in awe of that fact. Such love of such flawed people, with such grace. Always blessed when you stop by, friend. Hugs to you.

  4. Hi Tiffany! I saw you on FMF and hopped on over even though I wrote today on something else. When I saw Kate’s prompt, “Meet,” this is what came to mind, but you’ve put it into better words than I ever could have. Let’s meet with Him today!

    1. So glad you came by, Betsy. I wasn’t sure what would come of “meet” but the Lord planted a seed and the rest followed. Your words always bless me. Have a blessed and wonderful Mothers Day with your two treasures!
